Saddlestitching System

The StitchLiner 5500 is a pioneering new concept for demanding printing and publishing environments that combines flat sheet gathering, scoring, folding, stitching and three-knife trimming in one integrated line. The StitchLiner 5500 provides user-friendly operation, high-speed and versatility for commercial printers, trade binderies and print-on0demand environments. This equipment is CIP4/JDF compliant.
U-shaped Work Flow For Space Efficiency
One Possible Configuration:
1. Collator - SpeedVAC 100
Up to six 10-bin SpeedVAC towers can be combined to create a sixty-station gathering system. Advanced programming functions allow you to reload the stations without interrupting the run.

2. Stacker/By-pass Unit - ST-40
 The ST-40 is a by-pass stacker connecting the VAC-100 to the ACF-30 accumulator. Errored sets can be delivered to the built-in reject tray for non-stop operation.


3. Accumulator/Folder - ACF-30
Sheets are accumulated, scored, plow-folded and delivered as sub-sets onto the saddle. The number of sheets per folded section can be varied to insure a tight fold, depending on grain direction or paper weight.

4. Saddlestitcher - SPF-30
An icon-based touch screen on the SPF-30 sets up and controls the complete system. Heavy-duty Hohner stitch heads provide accurate, reliable center stitching. All skewed or missed stitch booklets are automatically ejected.

5. Three-knife Trimmer - HTS-30
The industrial-duty HTS-30 In-line Three Knife Trimmer provides high-quality three-sided finishing in one pass. All trimming parameters are input at the centralized touch screen with full automation.
